Strategische Teradata Partner unterstützen die neue Teradata Plattform-Familie
Die Ende April vorgestellte Teradata Plattform-Familie findet bei Kunden weltweit positive Resonanz. Zudem wird sie auch von den Teradata Partnern unterstützt, darunter SAS, Oracle, Microsoft, Cognos und Business Objects. Die Plattformen sind für unterschiedlich hohe Speicher- und Rechenvolumen und zugleich voll kompatibel ausgelegt, so dass Unternehmen sämtliche Modelle vom Einstiegs-Level bis zum echtzeitfähigen Enterprise Data Warehouse miteinander nutzen können. So lassen sich alle denkbaren Kundenanforderungen passgenau und kosteneffizient bedienen.

Die neue Plattformfamilie umfasst:
  • Teradata 550 SMP, ausgelegt als abteilungsbezogenes Data Warehouse oder als Entwicklungs- und Test-Umgebung,
  • Teradata 2500, konzipiert als Einstiegsmodell oder für Unternehmen mit kompakten Anforderungen an ihre analytischen Plattformen, und
  • Teradata 5550 für die leistungsstarke, nahezu unbeschränkt skalierbare Active Data Warehouse Klasse.
Sämtliche Plattformen nutzen die Datenbanksoftware Teradata 12, so dass die Kunden bei Bedarf problemlos auf leistungsstärkere Modelle migrieren können, ohne Veränderungen bei Datenmodell, Queries oder Anwendungen vornehmen zu müssen. Auch ihre bestehenden Tools und andere Ressourcen können die Unternehmen weiterverwenden.
Die Teradata Plattform-Familie wird von den Teradata Partnern unterstützt, unter anderem von SAS, Protegrity, Oracle, MicroStrategy, Microsoft, LSI, Intel, Informatica, GoldenGate, DFA Capital Management, Cognos, Business Objects und Attensity.
